Where the Red Fern Grows

Sunday / 1-23-11 /  for week 2

He won the cups and went home. A couple of days later he went hunting. His dogs started chasing something. They treed it and found out it was a mountain lion. It attacked the dogs and Billy. They saved his life. Billy started crying....of course..then they eventually killed it. His dogs are all cut up. Old Dan looks horrible. On their way there, Old Dan's organs fell out. He put them back in and went home. They doctored he two dogs up but Old Dan still died. Later, Little Ann died of a broken heart. He buried the dogs. He moved to the city in the spring but before he left he saw that there on the grave was a beautiful red fern.
